No More Trader Joe’s Vegan Turkey Roast…AGAIN

Customers loved the delicious Turkey-less Stuffed Roast with Gravy so much that it continually sold out very quickly every year. Yet, in 2023, Trader Joe’s claimed that the product was not meeting expectations, leaving many shoppers confused. In 2024, the popular chain renewed their turkey-less roast but unfortunately in 2025 the roasts are missing from shelves. The Trader Joe’s website doesn’t have much information on why they discontinued the vegan turkey-less roast, but it does state that it is not available.

High Demand, Low Supply, and Customer Confusion

The popular Turkey-less Stuffed Roast is not the only vegan product that has been phased out. Many popular items have been taken off the shelves recently, such as the pea protein burger and their veggie meatballs. One comment was, “This is the 6th item that has been discontinued in the last year that was a favorite.” One Instagram commenter said, “How could it not meet expectations when the biggest complaint every year was how fast it sold out?”

Some worry that they will eventually carry no good vegan products. This raises plenty of questions about which vegan products will be next on the chopping block and which of those will be permanent.

Trader Joe’s is known for rotating their products on and off the shelf throughout the year. Items will be temporarily removed but will be back during their appropriate season. Sadly, this may not be the case for many of our favorite products. Trader Joe’s website has this to say about discontinued products, “Our mission is to bring you the best quality products at the best prices. To do this, we have to manage our store space smartly. If a product is not earning its spot on our shelves, then we discontinue it to make room for something new.”

Will we ever see the Turkey-less Stuffed Roast again? One can only hope that they will change their minds about this one.
